General Conference 2026: What to Expect

The 2026 General Conference of The United Methodist Church will convene with a full agenda of legislative proposals addressing church structure, ministry, and the denomination's mission priorities for the next quadrennium.

Key topics on the docket include updates to clergy credentialing processes, revisions to the apportionment formula, and new initiatives for church planting and revitalization. Delegates will also consider proposals related to the denomination's global structure.
