UMC Communities are online spaces where United Methodists with shared interests, geographic locations, or ministry focuses can connect, share resources, and support one another. Whether you're a church musician looking for new worship ideas, a lay leader seeking training resources, or simply want to connect with other Methodists in your region, there's a community for you.
How do I join a community?
Joining a community is easy! First, create a MyUMC account if you haven't already. Then, browse the communities on this page and click "View Community" on any that interest you. From the community page, click "Join Community" to become a member. Some communities may require approval from a moderator before you can participate.

Yes! If you don't see a community that fits your needs, you can propose a new one. Community creation is available to MyUMC members. We review community proposals to ensure they align with United Methodist values and serve a genuine need. Once approved, you'll become the founding moderator of your community.

Yes, all UMC Communities have volunteer moderators who help maintain a welcoming, respectful environment. Moderators ensure discussions stay on topic, address conflicts constructively, and uphold our community guidelines. If you experience any issues, you can report them to the moderation team.
