The Council of Bishops has released a pastoral letter calling United Methodists to renewed commitment to unity, mission, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In a pastoral letter addressed to the global United Methodist connection, the Council of Bishops has called on church members to "embrace the hope that binds us together" amid ongoing conversations about the denomination's future.
"We are stronger together," the letter reads. "Our diversity is not a weakness but a reflection of the boundless creativity of God. We call on every United Methodist to recommit to our shared mission."
