World Communion Sunday

World Communion Sunday is celebrated on the first Sunday of October each year. On this day, Christians around the world share in the sacrament of Holy Communion, affirming our unity in Christ across all boundaries of culture, language, and geography.

The Special Offering

The World Communion Sunday offering supports ethnic scholarships and the Ethnic In-Service Training program. Gifts provide scholarships for national and international students, supporting the formation of leaders for the church and the world. Half of the offering funds World Communion Scholarships administered by the General Board of Global Ministries, and the other half supports the Ethnic Scholarship Program and the Ethnic In-Service Training Program administered by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry.
